On Tuesday 17 January, Boris Johnson will visit Colindale, in Barnet, for one of his TalkLondon events. These are primarily organised to allow Johnson to showcase his ‘achievements’ in the run-up to the London mayoral election in May where he is seeking re-election.

At Tuesday’s event the panel includes Johnson, Barnet Council leader Richard Cornelius and a prominent Barnet trader. Brian Coleman, the controversial Barnet councillor and the current GLA member for Barnet and Camden, will be in the chair.

We want to mobilise as many people as possible to attend the event and our protest beforehand. We will demonstrate from 5.30-6.30pm outside Gate D, at the entrance to the Peel Centre, Aerodrome Road, Colindale, where the meeting is being held. Then those of us that can will go into the meeting.

Please join us for the protest and/or the meeting. You can apply for tickets via the TalkLondon website:

The gates open at 6pm; people with tickets will be admitted first, at a certain time if there are any places left they will be given to those without tickets. We understand that access is very much on a first-come, first-served basis. The actual meeting starts at 7pm and ends at 8.30pm.

Please join us on Tuesday! We need to make clear our opposition to the cuts and privatisation policies of both the mayor and Barnet Council. What better way could there be?!
