BAPS supports Your Choice Barnet workers forced into strike action
It is outrageous that the dedicated and hard working Support Workers of YCB should be forced to take a 9.5% pay cut in addition to all the other changes in their terms and conditions of employment. We thoroughly support their brave decision to strike against these harsh decisions of the board of YCB. We condemn the irresponsibility of the London Borough of Barnet, who allowed YCB to be created with a flawed Business Plan that could only cause financial difficulties for YCB.
Come and join “Your Choice Barnet” (YCB) care workers over the next six weeks
Over the next six weeks YCB care strikers will be taking part in a number of actions. Please have a look and see if you can join them.
Two first days of strike action on Monday 8 Sept & Tuesday 9 September. Further strike actions planned for 17 and 18 Sept if negotiations don’t progress.
Picket lines start from 7.30 am but they will be there for at least five hours on each day so please pop down to offer support and solidarity.
