JAN 31 Dollis Valley Day - (Before the #MarchforHomes)
We have been cordially invited to the launch of the show homes….
These homes are highly unaffordable, being marketed to investors, and will result in the net loss of 200 Council Homes, a school, nursery and 3 community centres - AND THAT JUST AIN’T RIGHT!!
Please see event set up on facebook for tomorrow 10.30am to 12pm at the launch of the show homes on Dollis Valley Estate.
This regeneration will result in the net loss of 200 council homes and the displacement of their current tenants; at a time when we need more not less council properties.
The new homes for private sale are highly unaffordable for anyone on a “normal” wage, and are being actively marketed to “investors”.
From details on their website, 13 of 81 properties are earmarked as “affordable”…but none under £400k!!!
Please write letters to the local press about this outrage and join the protest tomorrow before heading to Elephant & Castle to the March for Homeson City Hall.
We are a bit stretched due to march for homes tomorrow but we can dash to join it afterwards.
We have seen only recently in West Hendon and New Era estates as just two examples, that people power works!
SPREAD THE WORD.
